about Mars and Venus
Thank you Veronica for all your work in putting this book together. It is an important body of work you produced and I can see you poured your soul into it. It took me a while to read it as I took it all in, mulled it over and dealt with the feelings and memories it raised from my own life. It hit me between the eyes at times as you laid out your research and challenged us with the truth. Every woman should read this book. Thank you. Colleen Mullins-Sifread, Queensland, Australia
I’m re-reading your book. I absolutely love your work. Clare Marks, Gold Coast, Australia

This book by Veronica Schwarz breaks new and timely fertile ground in the pursuit of gender equality around the world.
Well researched history on this subject and current information giving statistics, drawings by the author, personal reflections and thought-provoking insights into possible ways of approaching and solving the imbalance of gender, so that both women and men will benefit in all societies.
This book would be good for VCE students, Women's Studies courses at Universities, U3A and Community Houses.
It challenges myths, stereotypes and modes of thinking which may be considered harmful, outdated, and reactionary but is delivered with whimsy and questions for the reader to think in a new and progressive way on the gender issue.
An excellent read for ages 16 to seniors.
Best book on gender equality - ever!

Not only has this cutting edge book been meticulously researched, it is a book of the time and, as such, could well have been completely depressing. However, the author has woven humour into her down-to-earth approach as well as practical tips for us, all of us - regardless of gender, to make changes to our thoughts, beliefs and actions. If we took this on, we could change the world and make it a much more equitable place. Let's give it a go! Highly recommended

Written by an author with a lifetime of experience and wisdom, Busting the Myths of Mars and Venus is a highly readable and engaging read covering familiar ground for feminists and very much speaking to contemporary narratives of gender inequality and the need for change. The scope is wide, the brush broad, the chapters filled with insights and anecdotes. Written in an accessible, upbeat style and thoroughly researched, Busting the Myths of Mars and Venus achieves its aim in nineteen punchy chapters.
Veronica Schwarz has penned a book that can be dipped into a myth at a time, with lots of advice and tips and food for thought. This book would make a useful and insightful resource for educators and parents, and indeed it is for anyone wishing to help change the narrative, the attitudes and the behaviours that oppress women.
